The Trivial Matter of the Universe is essentially a "buddy movie'" between a man and his immobile device.

The man, Felix Culpa, is just an ordinary nobody and the device, Alfred, is just an ordinary hardware based artificial intelligence, premium grade crime lord, with a penchant for shoes. 

The story is set between 250 million years ago and a thousand odd years in the future.

It focuses on their relationship with Birth, Marriage and Death. Whilst not ignoring Commerce and its Emotional Support.
