Marriage

Marriage is difficult:

I wanted Marriage/Helen to be messy, confusing but also exciting. Like the real thing.

At the beginning of many marriages there is the honeymoon. Which is jam filled with an awful lot of the sexy stuff. I don't know whose idea it was but hurrah for her or possibly, but lets face it, unlikely, him.

Then comes the hard work on finding out what marriage means to the individual couples. There isn't a template, every marriage is unique.

Helen had to embody these traits but also be vulnerable to reflect the honesty of marriage.

To achieve this I decided that Helen's avatar had to be beautiful to everyone because in each true marriage the partners are beautiful to each other.

She also had to be strong, representing the bond of marriage. By making her also the ultimate predator, I wanted to allegorise how a couple protects their marriage against the universe.

Let's finish by letting Helen Bach have the last words;

"What the gravity-swell have you done with Felix. If you have damaged him in anyway, I'll ...."

Perhaps that wasn't such a good idea.
